Last weekend marked 8 entire years David and I have been together. 🙂 David suggested to celebrate we spend an entire day running around the city finding (and photographing) the best street art we could find, punctuated sporadically by a handful of fantastic drinking groupons he’d acquired.
Because we both love drinking, graffiti, and adventures. I love that man.
We started at some place in Scottsdale that was trying way too hard. We ordered one of every kind of taco they had and shared, and two enormous margaritas. Breakfast of champions.
That’s David’s, mine was absolutely the greatest margarita I’ve ever had in my life. It had crushed strawberries and… wait for it… wait for it… jalapenos! True story! Nothing has a right to taste as good as that thing did. I didn’t even get a picture of it because I was too busy ranting and raving about how I wanted to marry it.
After an hour or two of zigzagging through downtown streets, finding fabulous art, we landed at Phoenix Ale Brewery where David had a groupon that let us try everything they had on tap, then a couple pints and a growler.
That might have been the highlight of the day for David. Either that or (many hours of graffiti photography later) when we ended the day at Haus Murphy in Glendale for potato pancakes, a soft pretzel the size of my head (David LOVES him a soft pretzel), and live polka… because no adventure is complete until an old man with a tuba is involved.
